Summer Open Masters 2004

National Aquatic Centre
Dublin, Telephone: +353 1 64 64 300
11th - 12th September 2004

I can’t believe that I’m writing this so soon (it seems) after the last event, but here we are: it’s mid June and it's time to prepare for our Summer Championships.

For the first time we are holding our event outside of the UK, following on from the lead given by British Superbikes and Touring Cars, British Masters Diving is going across the water to the Emerald Isle. The land of soft rain and Guinness is welcoming us to the brand new National Aquatic Centre in Dublin.

Attached you will find entry forms and conditions for the competitions, and we are very likely to have a strong overseas contingent to the proceedings. Some of our American and European colleagues are planning to attend and this could prove to be a very popular event indeed.

Because of this, and also because we are overseas, we are asking for entries to be in a little earlier than usual, in this case 31st July, six weeks prior to the date of the event. This will enable us to put together a programme in advance, and also to send out dive sheets to competitors.

We are asking for dive sheets to be sent back by the 28th August to allow them to be checked (also to allow the post office to deliver them late!) With people flying in it is felt to be dangerous to ask for sheets the usual two hours prior to the event, a late flight arrival could mean no diving, something we want to avoid.

Changes to dive sheets can still be made up to 2 hours prior to the start of the event. If anyone is feeling brave, Lesley is willing to accept blank but signed dive sheets, she and Nina will happily fill in the blank spaces for you….
