10th European Masters ChampionshipsStockholm, 16th - 19th August 2005The Great Britain Diving Federation sent a team of thirteen divers to the 10th European Masters Championships in Stockholm this year, along with coaches, supporters, and two divers who were unable to compete owing to injury, but who came along anyway to cheer the others on. It was a very successful competition with a friendly atmosphere. The events ran smoothly, finishing by mid afternoon every day which left plenty of time for training before going out on the town. The pool in Stockholm was fabulous with its four 1 metre and three 3 metre springboards, a full set of platforms from 1 to 10 metres, and a dryland training room next door. Our divers brought home 5 gold, 11 silver and 1 bronze medals. Full results can be seen on Jari's website, here. |
