Well it only seems like yesterday we were travelling up to Edinburgh! But here we are with the Summer event upon us!
As you will see from the conditions, we are running the event based upon the FINA conditions for the World Championships, though, as usual ours are slightly harder as we are asking you to use a minimum number of groups!
We would ask you to get the entries back to Lesley as soon as you can so that we have an idea early on as to how many are likely to be diving so that we can start to get the programme together early for you.
I would ask you to look carefully at the conditions.
For those of you who have not competed in the past the following may be of use.
Groups.
These are the basic type of dives,
| Group 1 = Forward | Group 2 = Backward | Group 3 = Reverse |
| Group 4 = Inward | Group 5 = Twist | Group 6 = Handstand |
Group 6 on highboard only.
Our competitions specify a minimum number of groups in each event.
Dives are distinguished by the dive number only, not by the position (tuck, pike). So, dive number 101 (forward dive) is the same dive no matter what position it may be in. Therefore, forward dive tuck (101c) and forward dive pike (101b) are viewed as being the same dive.
We will be having our usual party on the Saturday night and it is important that we have a good idea of the numbers attending when we confirm the venue booking so please let us know with your entry if you are going to be attending the party.
Thanks for your help, and I look forward to a great event in Manchester.
