Winter Masters again!

It hardly seems possible that we have reached that time of year again, but it is, and here to prove it are the conditions and entry forms for the 2003 Winter Masters, along with a medical info sheet that we would ask you to fill in and bring along in a sealed envelope with your name on the outside.

Following what was seen as a good fun event last year, we are sticking to a similar but not the same, format for this year although, there are some small changes to the dive tests, not difficult but maybe challenging…….

In outline, the Saturday will see events starting at about 12.00 10.00am! with the Masters and Novice Masters Championships. Once we have completed these, we will retire to the bar of the Hotel!

Those of us who recover, are then back to the pool on the Sunday for the Synchro events, and the ‘Hatrick’ competition, where you chose the first two dives, and the referee pulls the other three from the hat for you. This year following requests from you all, there is a second hat, in which there are dives other than the basics of hat one, what will you get, a single or a 1½……maybe a 5112, or even……… note that you don’t have to use hat 2, you can use only hat 1. And as usual, if you specify the board on your dive sheet, before of course you know the dive there will be a tariff bonus for stupidity, sorry, sorry I meant bravery. The dives in hat 2 won’t be hard but they will be a bit different…cue splat of the week I think!

The recommended hotel is the Manchester Travel Inn Metro, The Circus, 112-114 Portland St, Manchester M1 4WB. The contact ‘phone number for this hotel is 0870 238 3315.

We are still working out what we are going to do for an evening function, though rest assured it will be to our usual standard, and will be at a venue where there is alcohol available, should any of you fine-tuned athletes wish to drink, unlikely though this may be.

Please get your entries in as early as possible this time, and before the closing date, so we know what we are doing, and can let you all know what the programme will be with a bit more accuracy.

Entry Forms are available here.
