Jeff Cook

It is with deep regret that we have heard of the passing away of Jeff Cook on the 28th February after a short illness. We send our deepest sympathy and condolences to Jean and family at their loss.

Jeff has been involved with diving for 36 years, starting with the Midlands District Committee and culminating in last year being the President of the ASA. During this time he became the representative of this country on the Fina and Len Committees which he served for many years in many roles. His last duty for Fina was only last week as an offical, judging and assessing other judges at the World Championships in Athens.

His involvement in diving from coaching to chairing ASA and ASFGB Committees has always been intense and dedicated. Although in the past Jeff never agreed with the foundation and aims of the GBDF, he will always be remembered for his dedication to diving by many of our members. He will be missed by many, not only in diving but other aquatic sports at home and abroad.
